 Challenge

A client from South Korea needed to recruit 5 top-level tobacco market experts in Russia (Head / Manager level) who were either **currently employed in the industry or had left no more than one year prior**.
Initially, the study was planned as in-depth interviews (IDIs). However, during the project the methodology was fully revised, and the client switched to a diary-based research format, comparable in complexity to a consulting assignment.
Experts were required to describe processes in detail, analyze data, and formulate conclusions. 

Research Objectives

To collect detailed diary records from experts with up-to-date market experience (currently employed or exited within the last 12 months) in order to obtain insights into:

Market structure
Distribution systems
 KPIs
 HNB segment operations
Real business processes
Industry barriers 

 Tasks

1. Build a pipeline of fully relevant experts
2. Verify employment in key companies and recency of experience (≤ 1 year)
3. Convince top managers to participate in a diary-based format
4. Arrange NDAs
5. Support each participant through final diary submission
